Join us next weekend at the Yocum Institute for Arts Education (3000 Penn Ave, West Lawn, PA 19609) on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Use the far right entrance and look for us in the Music Room. This month we present Jano Cohen, a fine art and documentary photographer in the Philadelphia area who self published her book, Grace & Grit: Boxing at Shuler's Gym, in July of 2024, with co-author and boxing historian, John DiSanto. Jano will share how she got full photographic access to Shuler's gym, why she decided to tell the full story behind this classic community oriented boxing gym and how she self-published the book and the talented people involved with that process.
